About the airport
Gelendzhik is the airport of the city of Gelendzhik in Krasnodar Krai. It is located within the city, on the western shore of Gelendzhik Bay in the Tonky Mys area.
The nearest commercial airports are 83 km and 170 km away.
There are also nine active helicopter pads in the city belonging to the AON and Ministry of Defence, as well as the only operational class "B" seaplane base in the country, Gelendzhik-Bukhta, which belongs to the Beriev TANTK test base.
In February 2022, following the start of military actions in Ukraine, the airport ceased accepting and dispatching flights.
On 9 July 2025, the Russian Ministry of Transport announced that the airport is preparing to resume operations. The possibility of safe flight operations was confirmed by Rosaviatsia. Gelendzhik Airport will be ready to accept and dispatch aircraft from 10 July.
