About the airport
Adrian Nikolaev Cheboksary Airport is an international airport of federal significance located in Cheboksary, the capital of Chuvashia. It was the hub of the former airline Chuvashia Airlines. The airport is situated 7 kilometres southeast of the city centre, in the rural settlement of Sinyaly in the Cheboksary municipal district of Chuvashia. As of 2025, the airport's base operator is LLC International Airport Cheboksary, part of the Aerofuels group of companies. On 31 May 2019, the airport was named after A. G. Nikolaev.
In 2024–2025, there was a significant increase in passenger traffic. While 450,100 passengers were carried in 2022, the figure rose to 508,400 in 2023 and to 577,000 in 2024.
