About the airport
Syktyvkar Airport named after Petr Istomin is an international airport of federal significance in the city of Syktyvkar, the capital of the Komi Republic. In 2018, following the all-Russian competition "Great Names of Russia", the airport was named after the first Komi pilot Petr Istomin.
The airport is located near the city centre, close to the Kirul area. Nearby the airport there is a hotel and a city bus stop, including an intercity route to the city of Ukhta.
