About the airport
Bodaybo is a regional airport in the city of Bodaybo, Irkutsk Oblast. It provides regular air service to the regional centre, Irkutsk. It is the main transport link for the Bodaybo district, alongside the taiga road Bodaybo–Taksimo, which is in poor condition. The land airport was opened in 1944; before that, there was a seaplane base.
Accepted aircraft types: An-2, An-24, An-26, An-30, An-32, L-410, Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, An-72, An-74, Yak-40 and other 3rd–4th class aircraft types, helicopters of all types, during daylight hours, Be-12. Maximum take-off weight of the aircraft is 24 tonnes.
