About the airport
Vologda is the airport of the city of the same name. It is located 10 km north of the city centre along Arkhangelsk Highway. It has the status of a federal airport.
The aerodrome accommodates Antonov An-2, An-24, An-26, An-28, An-30, An-74, Yakovlev Yak-40 and all lighter aircraft, as well as helicopters of all types. The main runway of the aerodrome is designed for a maximum take-off weight of 50 tonnes. The airport operator and the only airline operating passenger flights is JSC Vologda Aviation Enterprise.
