About the airport
Naryan-Mar is a federal airport serving the city of the same name in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The airport operator is the public joint-stock company Naryan-Mar United Aviation Detachment.
It is a joint-use airfield. It belongs to the Russian Ministry of Defence. The civil sector includes the apron, taxiways, and parking stands. The airfield is class B, equipped with an Instrument Landing System of categories II and III from both directions and light signalling equipment. The runway classification number is 17/R/B/X/T. In addition to the main reinforced concrete runway, there are two intersecting unpaved runways for An-2 aircraft and helicopter pads.
