About the airport

Dmitry Khvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk International Airport is a federal international airport with a class "A" aerodrome, one of two airports in Krasnoyarsk.

A hub airport for regional and international air transportation, it is the largest airport in Eastern Siberia and one of the largest airports in the country by volume of international cargo flights.

It is located twenty-seven kilometres northwest of the city centre in the Yemelyanovsky District of Krasnoyarsk Krai. The total land area occupied by the airport complex is 572.7 hectares.

Krasnoyarsk Airport is a joint base airport for civil aviation and the Ministry of Emergency Situations aviation. The Krasnoyarsk Integrated Aviation Rescue Centre of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations is located on its territory. It is also a base airport for the airlines Aeroflot, NordStar, Pegas Fly, KrasAvia and Azur Air.

The sixth regional airport in Russia, its services comply with international ISAGO standards. It serves as an alternate airport under ETOPS standards on transcontinental routes from North America and Europe to Asia.

By decree of the Russian government, Krasnoyarsk International Airport is included in the list of specialised border crossing points designated for the import of goods subject to veterinary and phytosanitary control.
