The company operates domestic flights within Kazakhstan. It also operates charter flights to various international resorts.
SCAT Airlines is an airline of Kazakhstan, one of the largest in the country. Its headquarters are located in Shymkent. Hubs: Aktau, Almaty, Astana, Shymkent. In 2015, the airline underwent an audit by the International Air Transport Association for compliance with the IOSA standard. Since 2018, it has been a full member of the International Air Transport Association IATA.
SCAT owns two subsidiary airlines:
Sunday Airlines — founded in 2013, it carries passengers on charter routes to resorts.
Southern Sky — operates Soviet aircraft such as the An-2, An-24, performs medical flights and serves airports in Kazakhstan that do not have the technical capability to accommodate modern airliners.
The airline operates 55 regular flights within Kazakhstan. Forty international flights are operated to Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, China, India, Thailand, Japan, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Mongolia.
On 31 March 2018, SCAT received the latest Boeing 737 MAX 8, becoming the first operator of this model in the post-Soviet countries. A contract was signed with Boeing Corporation to purchase five more such aircraft.
